A resident of Sevastopol will be punished for a sexual offense against a 6-year-old girl

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 29-year-old resident of the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol. He is accused of committing other acts of a sexual nature with the use of violence and using the helpless state of the victim who has not reached 14 years of age (paragraph «b» part 4 of article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The investigative department for the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol established that on October 1 2022, a resident of a communal apartment, left alone with a 6-year-old neighbor girl in the common premises of a communal apartment, committed other acts of a sexual nature against her.

The child told about the horrifying fact to his mother, who immediately contacted law enforcement agencies. In cooperation with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, the attacker was detained.

Employees of the investigative department for the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol, forensic investigators with the participation of a psychologist from the Main Investigation Department quickly organized and carried out the entire complex of investigative actions in order to collect and consolidate the evidence base and provide assistance to the injured child. At the request of the investigator, the court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the accused, where he is currently , the Investigative Committee reported.

The investigation of the criminal case is completed, a sufficient evidence base has been collected. The materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office in order to sign the indictment and then send the case to the court for its consideration on the merits.
