A training seminar for independent public observers was held in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A training seminar for independent public observers during the presidential elections in the Russian Federation was held in Sevastopol. For practical training, a model polling station is equipped with all the technological equipment necessary for voting, including a complex for processing ballot papers with a testing demonstration.
The Center for Electoral Law and Process is organized by the Sevastopol City Election Commission together with Sevastopol State University. This is our office, we have created a model polling station in it, in which all participants in the election process can get acquainted with the work of the precinct election commission. Not only do we train our election commissions here, we also train students here as part of the constitutional law program. We have an agreement with the Public Chamber of the city of Sevastopol, and we invited coordinator-observers from the Public Chamber to the training. Here the polling station is completely modeled, all the equipment and complex for processing ballots is presented, and you can see the whole process. On March 15, 16 and 17, the most important elections in the country will be held — the President of the Russian Federation, and our future depends on how they go– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the chairman of the Sevastopol City Election Commission Nina Faustova.
The event was attended by members of the Sevastopol City Election Commission and the Public Chamber of Sevastopol.
Let us remind you that voter applications are also being accepted to participate in remote electronic voting (DEG) in the elections of the President of the Russian Federation. Sevastopol is among 29 regions where the DEG will take place. To participate in remote electronic voting, you must apply for State Services until March 11.
