Action “Beware, motorcyclist” in Simferopol

Employees of the capital’s State Traffic Inspectorate, together with the Crimean motorcycle community, are organizing a preventive campaign timed to coincide with the opening of the new motorcycle season.

In order to prevent road accidents involving drivers of two-wheeled vehicles, the “Beware of Motorcyclist” campaign will be held in the Republic of Crimea. The traditional venue will remain unchanged. The event will take place near the railway station and will unite motorcyclists from different parts of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol— said the administration of the Crimean capital.

In order to attract the attention of drivers to the appearance of motorcyclists on the road, representatives of the driving school will prepare thematic banners “We are also welcome at home! Look in the mirrors!

Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate will distribute “Heads to Everything” leaflets to motorcyclists and patriotic stickers to vehicle drivers.

The traffic police calls on all motorists and participants of the action to strictly comply with all traffic rules:

— do not exceed speed;

— maintain lateral spacing and distance from other vehicles;

— do not drive into oncoming traffic;

— do not try to pass between nearby vehicles in heavy traffic.

And also all drivers of categories A and A1 are required to use protective equipment, in particular:

  • helmet;
  • gloves;
  • knee pads;
  • elbow pads;
  • shin protection;
  • back protection;
  • armor (protection of the chest and back);
  • protective shorts or pants;
  • overalls (full body protection).
