In connection with the upcoming tourist season, the number of inspection posts on the Crimean Bridge will be increased

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Crimean Bridge is fully prepared for an increase in traffic load.

On the eve of the May holidays and the holiday season, the number of inspection complexes and specialists working in these areas will be increased on the Crimean Bridge. This was stated by the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov during an interview with VGTRK special correspondent Olga Kurlaeva on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

Sergei Aksyonov emphasized that the bridge is fully prepared for the increase in traffic load associated with the growth of tourist flow. Inspection points are equipped with everything necessary, including individual detectors of dangerous and prohibited substances.

Together with Deputy Prime Minister Marat Shakirzyanovich Khusnullin, at the last meeting on Friday, we once again discussed the details with the services involved in the inspection work. As before, our target time for crossing the bridge during peak load periods is one hoursaid the Head of Crimea.

In addition, according to the Head of the Republic, all issues related to ensuring the safety of an important transport facility have been worked out.

There are no threats to citizens. People can cross the bridge freely. It is clear that queues may arise in the event of a temporary stop in vehicle traffic due to a signal about a missile danger. In this case, the waiting time will increase by an average of 40-50 minutes,” Aksyonov noted.

He also recalled that only cars can drive across the Crimean Bridge. Freight transport must use a ferry or land route leading to Crimea from the Rostov region through new regions of Russia.
