A state of emergency has been introduced in Yevpatoria and the Saki region.

In Crimea, work continues to eliminate the consequences of a severe storm that hit the peninsula on the eve of November 26.

As a result of strong winds gusting up to 40 m/s and precipitation in the form of rain and sleet, heat and power supply disruptions, falling trees, damage to roofs and cars, as well as flooding of housing and transport infrastructure occurred on the territory of the Republic of Crimea,” noted the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.

A regional emergency regime was introduced in Yevpatoria and the Saki region. In the village In Pribrezhnoye and in Yevpatoria, 195 residential buildings remain flooded. Throughout the night, department specialists continued to evacuate the population. In total, 326 people were evacuated, including 46 children.

In addition, more than 196 thousand people on the peninsula still remain disconnected from power supply. 183 Krymenergo brigades are involved in emergency restoration work.

The total grouping of forces and means of the RSChS of the Republic of Crimea involved in liquidation of the consequences is 1,323 people, 432 units of equipment, of which 195 people and 32 units of special equipment are from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
