Athletes from Sevastopol won the regional sports competition of Russian Student Teams

The Spartakiad of the Southern Federal District among members of Russian Student Teams has ended in Volgograd. Over the course of three days, students from six regions of our country competed in team sports, e-sports, passed GTO standards and participated in a creative competition.

We went to the competition with a fighting spirit. It was very difficult at times, because at sporting competitions the atmosphere is very tense, we were traveling without fans and we knew for sure that we ourselves would support our team. I can say with confidence that we made new friends and set an example of discipline and mutual respect. For the first time in 5 years, athletes from Sevastopol won the district sports festival. Over the course of 3 busy days, the student team members were able to win the following awards: 2nd place in volleyball, 3rd place in interactive football, 3rd place in tug-of-war, 1st place in football, 1st place in basketball, 1st place in playing “Gorodki”, 1st place in track and field athletics. And as a result, in the overall team event, the team from Sevastopol took the gold medal.

Victory in the district stage of the competition means that athletes from Sevastopol will be able to represent the Southern Federal District at the 64th All-Russian meeting of student teams in Kazan.
