In the second half of the year, contractors will complete the repair of sections on the Novotroitskoye — Chaplynka and Chaplynka — Armyansk roads, which will double the total capacity between the Kherson region and Crimea, he said in an interview TASS Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo.
For the current year, we have planned a major overhaul of the Novotroitskoye – Chaplynka and Chaplynka – Armyansk road sections. Now these roads are in very poor condition, traffic on them is very difficult — they were never repaired under Ukraine. When the repairs are completed, a second convenient route will appear from the Kherson region to Crimea and back. The total throughput will be doubled. Completion of repairs is scheduled for the second half of the year— said Saldo.
The governor emphasized that there are now no problems with queues at the main automobile checkpoint “Dzhankoy” between the two regions thanks to the road repairs.
