Road checks: 86 drunk drivers caught in Crimea over the weekend

Seven violators turned out to be “repeat offenders.”
In Crimea, the results of the next preventive event “Drunk Driver” were summed up. Road checks were carried out from February 9 to 11.
The raids were carried out in order to reduce the accident rate and prevent road accidents involving intoxicated drivers.
During the training, 86 cases of driving while intoxicated or refusing a medical examination were suppressed— reported the traffic police.
7 drivers were detained for driving a vehicle with signs of intoxication again, for which criminal liability is provided in accordance with Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds:
Driving a vehicle while intoxicated entails an administrative penalty — a fine of 30,000 rubles, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one and a half to two years; if this administrative offense is repeated within a year, criminal liability arises under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
