The cheerleading team of the Crimean Federal University won the Russian Cup at the Rising Stars festival in Shchyolkovo.
Thanks to the support of our university, once a small section of cheerleaders has achieved the level of Russian Cup holders. Now our team includes students and graduates of KFU. Their strength is the ability to get together at the right time. And when preparing for important starts, in addition to technique and synchronism, the emotional and mental state is very important. Since cheerleading is an extreme sport, athletes trust each other with their lives, and they have no right to make a mistake , — the press service of the university quotes the coach of the Simferopol team «Storms» Inna Nazarenko.
Crimeans declared themselves in three disciplines: «Cheerleading-stunt-mixed», «Cheerleading-stunt-partner», «Cheerleading-group-mixed». In each, they took first place, beating about a thousand rivals.
The republic was represented by a team of 20 best athletes of the Crimean Federal University, who passed the preliminary selection. In September of this year, they successfully performed at the Crimean Cup — this is how they received a ticket to the All-Russian competition.
Now the team is working on strengthening its competitive program and is preparing to take part in the Russian Championship, which will be held in May 2023 of the year.
