Chersonese Tauride announces a children's competition for participation in the project «Ten Chersonesus stories»

The Tauric Chersonese Museum-Reserve, together with the Balaklava House of Children and Youth Creativity, developed a summer general educational program for children.

Within the framework of the project 15 Sevastopol schoolchildren will be able to attend classes in Chersonese for free. The participants of the project will be determined on a competitive basis , — reported in the press service of the museum-reserve «Tauric Chersonesos».

Summer creative workshops «Ten stories of Chersonesus» is a cycle of classes on the territory of the museum-reserve, telling about the history and culture of the ancient city, the life and traditions of its inhabitants. The program provides for sightseeing tours of the ancient city and thematic master classes in clay modeling, drawing, theater and others. Classes will be held in July and August of this year.

The winners of the children’s essay contest «My Story in Tauric Chersonesos» will be able to take part in the «Summer Creative Workshops» Ten Stories of Chersonesus «, which will be held in two age categories:

• pupils of elementary grades — children from 7 to years old;

middle school students — children from up to 14 years.

There will be 15 winners in each age category.

In his essay, the author participating in the competition must express his personal experience associated with some interesting event or his own discovery made during a visit to the museum-reserve «Tauric Chersonesos».
