Entrepreneurs of Sevastopol are helped to register a trademark. This service is provided in the My Business center free of charge within the framework of the national project «Small and Medium Entrepreneurship».
Trademark registration is the only way to secure exclusive rights to your trademark in Russia or any other country. 14 Sevastopol entrepreneurs have already used the service at the My Business center. Another 32 small and medium-sized businesses are at the stage of obtaining a certificate— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the department of economic development Denis Profatilov.
The My Business Center helped entrepreneurs from various fields register a trademark: sale of auto parts, pyrotechnic products, catering, winemaking, construction, production of metal structures, souvenirs, educational services and much more.
Also, as part of a comprehensive service, four participants in the agro-industrial and fishing clusters, which operate under the cluster development center, received registration. Two more entrepreneurs received a deposit service (this is one of the ways to prove authorship of a created work), and also registered a computer program with Rospatent.
The process of registering a trademark on average lasts from 8 to 12 months. It includes selection of classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services, verification, preparation of an application for registration of a trademark, support of the procedure, interaction with Rospatent specialists — until obtaining a registration certificate. Center «My Business» thus helps to reduce costs for entrepreneurs, — says the director of the center «My Business» Natalia Borisova.
She added that the center provides a trademark registration service free of charge. The subject of small and medium-sized businesses can only pay the state duty.
Entrepreneurs apply for registration already with a layout, logo. In some cases, one inscription is enough — the name of the enterprise, for example.
