From September 1, Russian schools are moving to the «gold standard» of education. What does this mean
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has updated federal state educational standards and introduced a single standard of teaching in six subjects: Russian language, literature, history, social science, geography and the basics of life safety. The «gold standard» of education implies that unified state textbooks will be created for all school subjects.
As writes «Russian newspaper»in the updated Federal State Educational Standards, the specific content of education for each subject appeared, the guidelines and results that can be expected from children are indicated.
In addition, unified state textbooks will be created for all school subjects. In terms of history, this is already ready, high school students will start studying it from this year.
In the senior classes, a module on basic military training will appear in the OBZh course.
In the new academic year, silver medals, which ceased to be issued at the federal level in 2014, will return to schools. Now «silver» is back in business — for graduates who graduated from school with 1-2 fours in the certificate. Just like the gold medals that round honors students receive, silver ones will bring additional points when entering universities. If «gold» will give up to 5 points to the exam, then «silver» can bring up to 3 additional points.
