Implementation of the patriotic project «Little Heroes of a Big Country» started in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In the Central City Children’s Library. A. P. Gaidar presented the patriotic project “Little Heroes of a Big Country”, which received support from the Presidential Grants Fund. The project was prepared by the Centralized Library System for Children, the regional public organization «Sevastopol City Council of Women» with the support of the Department of Culture.

I think that thanks to the project «Little Heroes of a Big Country» the children will learn a lot about the children-heroes of our city. I am sure that the participants of the project will have amazing discoveries, travels, and they will grow up as caring people who will love our wonderful Hero City Sevastopol and our Motherland — Russia— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the Centralized Library System for Children Elena Panchenko.

During 2023, schoolchildren aged 6 to 12 will take part in excursions to the historical places of Sevastopol and in the city patriotic game. In children’s libraries for children, historical hours will be held about child heroes, their exploits at different times — from Ancient Rus’ to the present. Students will also take part in thematic teleconferences with library readers from different cities of Russia.

You have a lot to understand, learn, comprehend, and most importantly — what you will ever come to. Studying at school, visiting the flotilla, you grow up and understand that you cannot have more relatives and relatives, family, land. And I propose, as part of this project, to bring portraits of child heroes into the Immortal Regiment campaign so that those children who gave their lives for their Motherland are not forgotten. This is how patriotism is brought up — from love for a brother or sister, classmates, our teacher and loved ones, for the sake of whom we are ready to do everything in this life. Let’s do good together, — Marina Peschanskaya, Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Sevastopol, addressed the audience.

The main event of the project will be the competition of creative works «These are our heroes!». It is planned to be held in four historical periods: children-heroes of our time, pioneer-heroes, children-heroes of the Crimean War and Ancient Rus’. The best works are used to create a board quiz game «The Time of Real Heroes».
