In Sevastopol, a man “stole” more than 120 thousand rubles from his partner’s card

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Taking advantage of the health problems of his partner, the suspect stole a large sum from her credit account.

It was established that a 58-year-old local resident met and cohabited with a 35-year-old resident of Yevpatoria, who came to the hero city to work at a construction site. Due to the fact that the woman fell ill in December last year, she entrusted her cohabitant with her credit card to purchase the necessary products and medicines. Taking advantage of his lady’s gullibility, the man stole money from her card for several months, which he spent on alcohol and entertainment with friends.— the details of the story were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

The victim learned about the theft of money by accident: one day she received a loan offer from the bank, she made inquiries about the state of her bank account and was surprised to learn that more than 120 thousand rubles were missing from her. The gentleman confessed to stealing money and promised to compensate for the damage, but he did not keep his promise and disappeared.

As a result of operational search activities, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs in the Nakhimovsky district detained a suspect.

A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under paragraph “g” of Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”, he faces up to six years in prison.
