In Sevastopol, a participant in a special military operation met with schoolchildren

In the reading room of the library-branch No. 11 named after K. Stanyukovich, a participant in the special military operation, volunteer Konstantin Samoshin met with students of the 9-A cadet class of school No. 6. Konstantin took part in the special military operation as a paratrooper of the air assault battalion of the 810th brigade Marine Corps.

On the day the special operation began, I thought: there are professional military personnel there, they know what they are doing, I was calm. And then I saw how big the line of contact was, I realized that my help was needed, and I decided to stand up for the inhabitants of my country— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes a volunteer.

He adds that in the special operation zone, tasks as part of the air assault battalion were carried out in Mariupol and near Donetsk.

The task was set to gain a foothold in one of the villages near Donetsk. We walked together with sappers, infantry, and snipers. When we reached the desired hill, the shelling began. The whistling of bullets from all sides, then they raised a drone above us, and they couldn’t shoot it down. In this battle I received a shrapnel wound in my leg.the man recalls.

For participation in the special operation, Konstantin Samoshin was awarded the medal “For Military Valor”.

Answering the guys’ questions and talking about the combat journey, Konstantin Sergeevich reminded how important it is to write letters of support to the participants in the special operation.

Are you writing letters to the front? This is very important, guys, believe me. Write more often, guys are constantly waiting for your letters, words of support and encouragement. When you read children’s letters, grown men have tears in their eyes. This is very supportive, makes us move forward and bring Victory closer, — the man notes.

Saying goodbye, Konstantin said important parting words to the guys:

No matter who you are, try to make the world a better place. True heroism and feat is to do your job honestly and with full dedication.”

Returning to his hometown, Konstantin Samoshin collects humanitarian aid for soldiers on the front line, provides support to refugee aid centers, organizes weaving points and sending camouflage nets to the front, participates in lessons in courage and class hours.

Grade 9-A student Rostislav Savenko shared his impressions from the meeting with Konstantin:

At today’s meeting, I talked with a participant in a special military operation, with someone who saw, felt and experienced everything that was happening with his own eyes. I learned a lot of interesting things about what happened and is now happening on the front linesays Rostislav.

Let us remind you that military personnel are provided with about 15 federal and regional benefits and guarantees, including those received by participants in the special operation: official housing or compensation for rental housing, life and health insurance, credit and tax holidays, additional benefits and guarantees of constituent entities of the Russian Federation and others.
