In Sevastopol, coastal batteries will be cleared of debris and combined into a single tour route

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Public organization «Grenadier» «Sevastopol newspaper», announced the launch of the social project «Southern Shield of Russia». It is planned to put in order all the Sevastopol coastal batteries and combine them into a single tourist route.

The social project began with a community work day at Fort Severny. Volunteers, builders of the yacht marina and university students helped to restore order. As Ilya Davydov, the head of the SROO INS «Grenadier», said, their public organization has experience in holding subbotniks. In particular, last year and the year before last, volunteers cleaned the barracks and the territory of Fort Yuzhny four times.

At the first stage of the social project, which is being implemented with the support of Rosmolodezh, a team of activists and volunteers will clear the batteries from household and construction debris and immediately conduct excursions for those who participate in the subbotniks. At the second stage, it is planned to install information stands. But before that, the public will consult with Sevnasledie.

In parallel, the development of an augmented reality application is underway, which will show the lost elements of historical objects. Anyone who wants to point their phone at the QR code will be able to see the weapons that were located on these batteries. Then an interactive map with a route will be created, combining all coastal batteries into a single route— says Ilya Davydov.
