In Sevastopol, they warn: you should swim only on official beaches. Why?

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Sevastopol, approved 24 beaches, which will work officially. They are being improved, a mandatory certification procedure is carried out in the GIMS of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Rospotrebnadzor, and the safety of vacationers is ensured. For this, CCTV cameras, warning systems, rescue towers and medical posts will be installed on the beaches, the bottom will be surveyed and the work of rescuers will be provided. On the eve of the swimming season, we asked experts why it is dangerous to swim on beaches that are not included in the liver of official ones. Sergiy Gryga, chief freelance epidemiologist of the Department of Health, spoke about what infections can be found in sea water and how to avoid them.

Before the start of the swimming season, all the beaches of the city undergo a special check. So, sea water is checked for the presence of pathogenic microorganisms and microelements, and a recreational load is also established — the possibility of self-purification of the beach in a day. First of all, through sea water we can get such infections as rotavirus, enterovirus, cholera vibrio, because we are the territory of the first category, where it constantly circulates. The only thing we have is that it is non-toxigenic, that is, it is contagious, but does not cause disease , — quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Sergey Gryga.

He also added that the symptoms of such infections are problems with the gastrointestinal tract, fever, vomiting and a condition similar to SARS.

Naturally, no one wants to face such a condition and end up in an infectious diseases hospital. Therefore, it is important to follow preventive measures in order to prevent an outbreak of infection — this is the most important thing for a resort region, which is Sevastopol. It is best to swim in those places where today there is permission from Rospotrebnadzor, on beaches that are open, because our coast is still far from perfect, it is quite possible to get infected , — emphasizes Sergey Gryga.

Also in Sevastopol, within the coastal slopes of the northern part of the city, there is a danger of shedding and collapse of soil.

Since the height of the cliff almost everywhere exceeds the width of the beach, landslides completely cover the beaches and being within the landslide areas poses a real threat to the life of vacationers. The greatest danger is represented by relatively small collapses, since they occur almost instantly. Large collapses are preceded by shedding of soil, noticing which you can have time to leave a dangerous place. For those staying on the beaches overnight in tents, all landslides pose a threat , — says Roman Andreev, director of the State Budgetary Institution Ecocenter.

He also added that on the beaches located within the coastal zone along the Fiolent-Balaklava line, due to the long wet period, the coastal slope became waterlogged, and a sharp increase in temperature to 25ºС increased the activation of landslide processes.

This happened especially in the area of u200bu200bthe beaches «Vasili», «Tsarskoye Selo», «Diana’s Grotto». Rock fragments of the lower Cretaceous deposits continue to remain in an unstable state. Tensile cracks are noted on the slope, which can lead to repeated collapses and sliding of large debris into the beach area,” said Roman Andreev.

Recall the full list of official beaches: «Soldatsky», «Cape Khrustalny», «Nakhimovets», «Sand», «Omega», «Aquamarine», «Victory Park», «Yashmovy», «Andreevka», «Orlovka-1» , «Golden», «Our Sail», «Elm Grove», «Star Coast», «Silver», «Sunny», «Uchkuevka», boarding house «Izumrud», DOL «Alkadar», boarding house «Joy», GBOU DOTS «Laspi», SOL «Horizon», «Sand Bay», «Lyubimovka».
