In Sevastopol, traffic police inspectors detained a drug courier from Krasnoyarsk

At a stationary post on the Tavrida highway, employees of a separate battalion of the traffic police of the traffic police stopped for inspection a Toyota car driven by a 32-year-old driver.

During the check, traffic inspectors found out that the vehicle was not registered in the prescribed manner and the car owner did not have an OSAGO policy. In addition, police officers revealed external signs of drug intoxication in the driver and two of his passengers. During an inspection of the personal belongings of one of them, a -year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk, the police found in his backpack 16 plastic bundles and glass jars with substance of vegetable origin.

The man explained that the substance seized from him was marijuana, which he purchased in the shadow segment of the Internet in a contactless way for subsequent sale in the territory of Sevastopol. The police also found out that the detainee had previously been put on the federal wanted list by employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory for committing a similar crime.

The result of the forensic examination confirmed that the substance seized from the Krasnoyarsk citizen is the narcotic drug «cannabis», weighing more than 50 grams, which is a significant size. In relation to the person involved, the investigation department of the MIA of Russia for the Balaklava district initiated a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph «b» part 3 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the incriminated article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of eight to fifteen years , — reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
