On June 2, in Simferopol, on the eve of the celebration of the City Day, the grand opening of the updated Board of Honor took place.
The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Yefim Fix, the head of the administration of Simferopol Mikhail Afanasiev, the chairman of the Simferopol City Council Viktor Ageev, the public and the «heroes of the occasion» — the best of the best citizens and representatives of advanced labor collectives.
On behalf of the deputy corps of the Republic, Yefim Fiks thanked Simferopol residents and representatives of leading teams for their achievements and accomplishments for the good of their native city, wishing them health and well-being in solving socially significant tasks for the well-being and prosperity of the Crimean capital.
The First Vice-Speaker also conveyed a greeting address from the head of the highest legislative body of the republic, Vladimir Konstantinov, which, in particular, reads:
Today Simferopol is a modern, comfortable city for life. After the reunification of Crimea with Russia, the Crimean capital received a new impetus for its commercial, industrial, logistical and social development. I am convinced that over time this potential will be fully realized. It is important for us to have a comfortable, comfortable capital — the face of our Republic.
The head of the administration of Simferopol, Mikhail Afanasiev, also spoke about the development and prospects of the Crimean capital.
Today Simferopol is a dynamically developing administrative center of the republic. I am sure that we are capable and we will keep the pace that the capital deserves. And we can do this precisely thanks to our residents, who are capable of a breakthrough, able to do everything and even more for their native, beloved city— Mikhail Afanasiev noted in his speech.
During the solemn event, all the awardees were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts. The names of citizens and the names of city collectives are also included in the «Honorary Book of the City of Simferopol», which is stored in the Museum of the History of the Crimean Capital.

In addition, by the decision of the 89th session of the Simferopol City Council of the II convocation dated April 27, 2023, for special services to the residents of the city district in the field of education, active social work, the title of «Honorary Citizen of the City of Simferopol» was awarded to Ioshin Nikolay Vasilievich, and the insignia of the municipality » Star of Glory and Honor” was awarded to Yury Yuryevich Nesterenko.
