Islam Kazharov from Simferopol is the silver medalist of the European Championship in freestyle wrestling among youths

Candidate Master of Sports of Russia from Simferopol Islam Kazharov (coaches — Ignat Grek and Ruslan Nakhushev) became the silver medalist of the European Championship in freestyle wrestling among youths under 18 years old. Competitions on June 12-18 were held in the capital of Albania — Tirana.

Islam Kazharov (graduate of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea RSTC «Crimea-SPORT») confidently reached the final in the weight category up to 71 kg, in which, unfortunately, he lost to Narek Nikoghosyan from Armenia — 2:6. Note that Russian wrestlers competed at this championship under the abbreviation AIN — Individual neutral athletes (individual neutral athletes)says «Crimean sport».

In Tirana, competitions were held in three types of wrestling — Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s. Russian wrestlers won a total of 24 medals — 6 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze.
