“Lifters” from Crimea and Sevastopol have 10 medals at the prestigious All-Russian tournament in Moscow

In Moscow, from April 27 to May 3, the All-Russian master tournament in powerlifting (classical eventing, bench press and classic bench press) “Lights of Moscow” was held. More than 450 athletes from 54 regions of Russia took part in the competition.

The Crimean national team has 4 medals.

Master of Sports of Russia Valery Levchenko from Feodosia (coach — Vladislav Apanasenko) won two awards at once: in the weight category up to 74 kg he won the bench press with a tournament record of 215 kg (while beating his closest rival — Master of Sports of Russia Andrei Bezverkhy from Sevastopol — by 2.5 kg), and in the classic bench press with a result of 150 kg he took silver.

Master of Sports of Russia Victoria Kuznetsova from Simferopol excelled in classical triathlon (weight category — up to 57 kg; result: squat — 135 kg, bench press — 70 kg, deadlift — 170 kg, total — 375 kg). The athlete trains under the guidance of Daniil Magomadov.

One of the most experienced Crimean “lifters” — Master of Sports of Russia Yaroslav Trubichkin from Yalta — won bronze in classical triathlon in the absolute weight category (squat — 300 kg, bench press — 200 kg, deadlift — 310 kg, total — 810 kg) .

Sevastopol residents won six medals at the tournament.

We have already mentioned “Silver” by Andrei Bezverkhoy. International master of sports Valentin Kiselev won two gold medals, who had no equal in the bench press up to 93 kg, as well as in the absolute weight category (result – 305.5 kg). In addition, Master of Sports of Russia Alexander Dotsenko won in the bench press (up to 120 kg, result — 295 kg), and candidate Master of Sports of Russia Ivan Kochetov in the same category (up to 120 kg) took bronze (result — 282.5 kg)reports Crimean Sport.

Master of Sports of Russia Inna Babenko took third place in classical triathlon (up to 47 kg; result: squat — 90 kg, bench press — 52.5 kg, deadlift — 125 kg, total — 267.5 kg).

Sevastopol athletes are graduates of School of Sports Training No. 2 and train under the guidance of Mikhail Paller, Vladislav Apanasenko, Irina Kurilova and Pavel Gurzhiy.
