New Sevelektroavtotrans buses will appear on city routes

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, checked the readiness for operation of the new buses of the State Unitary Enterprise Sevelektroavtotrans, which appeared in the city thanks to the national project “Safe Quality Roads”.

New Sevelektroavtotrans buses will appear on city routes

Buses manufactured by the Likinsky Automobile Plant (LiAZ) commissioned by the Government of Sevastopol were presented on March 16 on Nakhimov Square. Starting from March 20, they will operate on city and suburban routes, the head of the city said during an inspection of the new transport.

18 new buses are preparing to enter the line. We ordered them at the factory, and since we are in the southern region, we immediately asked to install enhanced “summer” type air conditioners, so that Sevastopol residents and city guests would feel comfortable driving in them during the hot season. The plant also produced branded buses — in the corporate style that we previously approved for Sevastopol public transport– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the governor.

He noted that the renewal of the bus fleet in Sevastopol continues.

Our passenger traffic is growing. And to cope with this situation, small-capacity buses are no longer suitable — medium and large-capacity vehicles are needed. Therefore, taking into account the development of the city, the government of Sevastopol will implement appropriate policies in the field of public transportnotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The new buses have spacious, comfortable interiors with handrails, video surveillance systems, auto-informers with digital LED displays. Low-floor transport is equipped with ramps — this is convenient for passengers with strollers and for the elderly.

The buses will operate on city and suburban routes, and it is also planned to use them when blocking roadsteads, if necessary.
