Opinion: the demand for secondary specialized education is growing in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev today took part in the forum «Social and labor aspects of sustainable development in modern conditions» in the videoconferencing mode. More than 250 people participated in the forum. The organizer was the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
In modern conditions, sustainable development is different from what it was a year ago, not to mention what it was five years ago. We need to discuss the peculiarities of social and labor processes, taking into account the unprecedented challenges and threats faced by the Russian economy and society. We proceed from the premise that sustainability is a broad concept, how to combine long-term trends and sustainable development goals and our current situation are the most important tasks of our forum— said Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Mikhail Razvozhaev heads the commission on education in the State Council of the country. He said that the issue of developing secondary specialized education was recently considered at an expanded meeting.
There is a very active branch of the RSPP in Sevastopol. I can note a change in the trend in the issue of education: if earlier there were questions about employment, now employers are saying: “Give us personnel!”. When a new business appears, the entrepreneur first of all thinks about where to get qualified specialists? Now our task is to bring the vocational education system and employers closer togetherthe governor said.
That is why, according to him, there is a need to develop professionalism.
Professionalism in the future should develop in the regions to such an extent that each student has a curator from the future employer. We must immediately understand for whom we are preparing a specialist. Somewhere else there are moments when specialists are trained and taught not what is needed. On the example of Sevastopol, I can say that the direction of applied specialties is increasing. The number of budget places is growing every year— Mikhail Razvozhaev emphasized.
The governor gave an example: in 2023, Sevastopol increased the number of budget places in the field of IT technologies, since not only is there a need in this area, but the IT-Crimea cluster also provides an internship platform and is engaged in further employment of specialists.
RSPP at the regional level should become the main customer for the professions for which we train specialists in the system of secondary specialized education— said the governor of Sevastopol.
Mikhail Razvozhaev believes that the system of secondary specialized education should become a personnel base for employers in all regions, based on the needs of a particular subject.
