Rain and wind… Be patient for two days, this week in Crimea it will be spring-like warm

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a storm warning for February 5 and 6. Today and tomorrow it is windy and wet in Crimea.

According to the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on the afternoon of February 5, due to the passage of a cold frontal section in Crimea, the following is expected: rain turning into sleet, snow in the mountains, very heavy in the southern, central, eastern regions and in the mountains precipitation— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.

In addition, this afternoon and next night the southwest wind is expected to increase on the peninsula, with a transition to the northwest — up to 25-30 m/s. In the southern regions and mountains — up to 35 m/s.

In these conditions, there is a high probability of emergencies associated with accidents at energy facilities, housing and communal services, an increase in the number of road accidents, disruptions in transport communications, obstruction of vehicle traffic on roads, long descents and ascents, dangerous turns and mountain passes. Possible flooding of areasnoted the emergency department.

At this point, the bad weather will subside, and spring warmth will come to Crimea. As noted in the Crimean hydrometeorological center, this week the air temperature will rise first to plus 7-12 degrees, then to 10-15 degrees above zero, and on the weekend — to plus 16. Rain is not expected. More information about the weather in Crimea — HERE.
