Travel service tutu summarizes the preliminary results of the year and tells where hotels were most often booked in 2023 in Russia and abroad, how much they paid for accommodation and how many nights they most often stayed in a particular city. About 95.8% of bookings from tutu clients were in Russia, and 4.2% in foreign cities. A year ago, bookings within Russia accounted for 92.4% of demand, and for foreign cities — 7.6%.
People most often stayed in hotels and other accommodation facilities for two or three nights, and per night they paid an average of 3,770 rubles in Russia (+7.5% compared to last year) and 7,256 rubles abroad (+23.6% compared to last year) last year).

Of the Russian cities, the most bookings were made in Moscow and St. Petersburg, accounting for a total of about 35% of orders. At the same time, last year St. Petersburg was in first place in terms of the number of bookings through tutu, and in 2023 Moscow took the lead. They usually stay in Moscow for two nights, and pay an average of 4,169 rubles per night. In St. Petersburg, people pay an average of 4,060 rubles per night, and hotels and other accommodations are booked for an average of three nights.
Next in popularity is Sochi, which accounted for about 5.8% of orders within the country. People stay here for an average of three nights, and the average check per night is 4,456 rubles. Also in the top 5 in popularity were Kazan and Rostov-on-Don.
The list of Russian cities where hotels were booked most often this year also included Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Vladivostok, Samara, Yaroslavl, Voronezh, Anapa, Tula, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk and Ufa.

Of the foreign destinations, Belarus and Turkey are the most in demand; in total, they account for about half of the demand among tutu users. In Belarus, the average stay was two nights and paid 4,351 rubles per night (+14% by 2022). In Turkey, the average check per night is 8,287 rubles (+40% compared to last year), and the average length of stay is three nights.
Among neighboring countries, in addition to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia and Georgia are popular. All of them are in the top 10 by the number of hotel bookings in 2023 through the tutu service. Of the European countries, only Italy made it into the top 10 (last year, Finland was also included in the ranking).
Among the distant warm destinations, the United Arab Emirates and Thailand were in the top 10. The UAE retained seventh place, while Thailand was not in the top 10 last year.
Of the top 10 countries, hotels are booked for the longest period (on average 5 nights) in Abkhazia and Thailand. And for the shortest period of time they stay in hotels in Belarus and Armenia — an average of two nights.

The depth of booking hotels and other accommodation facilities remains low. About 23% of orders through tutu in 2023 were made by travelers on the day of arrival (last year such orders were 20.5%). Approximately every fourth order (24.9%) in 2023 was made one or two days before the arrival — this is comparable to last year. About 21.3% of orders were processed within 3–7 days; last year the share of such orders was 22.8%. Interestingly, the share of orders placed 29 days or more before the arrival date increased from 8.9% to 10.1%.
