Road accident in Sevastopol — female pedestrians fell under the wheels of a Lanos

The police are establishing the circumstances of an accident involving two pedestrians on Admiral Oktyabrsky Street in Sevastopol.
Yesterday at 17:15, in the area of house No. 9 on Admiral Oktyabrsky Street, a 34-year-old Daewoo Lanos driver hit two girls, 20 and 19 years old, who were crossing the roadway outside a pedestrian crossing when there was one in sight. It was established that at the time of the road accident the pedestrians were intoxicated. As a result of the accident, both girls were injured and were taken to the city hospital. After examination by doctors, one of the victims was hospitalized, and the second was released in satisfactory condition. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol immediately arrived at the scene of the road accident. Based on the results of the police examination, it was established that the driver of the foreign car was sober— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
Currently, upon the fact of an accident, police officers have compiled administrative materials regarding pedestrians who violated traffic rules under Part 1 of Art. 12.30 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation of the Traffic Rules by a pedestrian, a passenger of a vehicle or other road user (except for the driver of a vehicle), resulting in interference with the movement of vehicles.” The sanction entails the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of one thousand rubles.
