Roads are being prepared for winter in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

As part of the Safe High-Quality Roads national project, preparations for the winter maintenance of roads have started in Sevastopol. Sevastopol Avtodor has already prepared a thousand tons of technical salt and tons of sand-salt mixture. Additionally, work is underway to conclude state contracts for the supply of washed sand and salt in a total amount of nine thousand tons.

In Sevastopol, 30 units of road construction equipment were prepared to carry out tasks for the winter maintenance of roads, including units of combined road machines, 4 dump trucks with dumps (KAMAZ), 2 KAMAZ trucks with brushes, 3 motor graders, 6 loaders , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of Sevavtodor Nikolai Kalyagin.

For the safety of car traffic in the cold season, employees of Sevavtodor will inspect roads and artificial structures — bridges, overpasses and pipes. In addition, priority routes and terms for clearing roads from snow and treating roads with anti-icing materials will be agreed in advance.

To increase the frequency of road processing, the road network of the city is divided into four zones. In order to reduce the distance of delivery of anti-icing materials, Sevavtodor is preparing four production bases at the following addresses:

  • Kamyshovoe highway, 29;200
  • ABZ in Sturmovoi;
  • Laspi village;200
  • Inkerman.

It is also planned to check the readiness of the dispatch service and emergency teams to eliminate possible accidents and emergencies.

Recall that the 24-hour dispatching service of the institution ensures the coordination of work. Reliable information about weather conditions is provided to Sevastopol by the Sevastopol Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, a branch of the Crimean Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.
