Sevastopol intends to create a new waste recycling system. At the site «Pervomaiskaya beam»

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev and General Director of the Russian Environmental Operator Denis Butsaev discussed a roadmap for the creation in Sevastopol of a modern system for sorting, processing and disposal of waste at the site of the Pervomaiskaya Balka MSW landfill. The investment project to create an ecotechnopark will be implemented on the basis of a concession agreement. The money for the construction of a complex for deep waste processing is allocated by the public company «Russian Ecological Operator», which was established by the Decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin in 2019 year. Sevastopol was chosen as a participant in the project for the construction of a modern technological complex with a full cycle of waste processing. This means, the Government of Sevastopol notes, that the problem with landfills will be solved by the city as a priority.

The population of the city is growing, so is the amount of waste. Our only landfill accepts about 190 thousand tons of MSW. There are no processing and disposal facilities on the territory of the city of Sevastopol. Without a modern system for sorting, processing and disposal of waste, the existence of a city of federal significance is simply impossible. This is a complex and vital facility, and, of course, a reliable partner is needed to carry out this project. The REO has a unique experience in the implementation of similar projects in other cities of our country , — the press service of the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev quotes.

According to Denis Butsaev, the implementation of the project will fully ensure the achievement of the indicators of the national project «Ecology», envisaged for the 2022 year, already in the 2024 year. The capacity of KPO Pervomaiskaya Balka will reach 250 thousand tons per year, more than half of the waste will be recycled.

It is planned to use advanced Russian technological solutions at the facility that will minimize the amount of waste sent for disposal and maximize the recycling of materials recovered at the facility. The project will be implemented on the basis of a concession agreement at the expense of funds received from the placement of a bonded loan, as well as funds from the federal project. The total investment is estimated at 2.2 billion rubles , Denis Butsaev said.

Currently, design and survey work is underway for the construction of a waste processing plant in the city of Sevastopol. Based on the results of the preparation of the relevant project documentation, by the end 2022 of the year, funding will be allocated for construction and installation works.
