Sevastopol is preparing for the presidential elections in the Russian Federation
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At the Boiling Point of Sevastopol State University, a round table was held on the topic “Elections of the President of Russia: conditions, challenges and ensuring legitimacy.” Participants discussed the report of the Association of Independent Public Monitoring, which was dedicated to the presidential election campaign, as well as the goals facing the expert community.
This is a very important election for the country. A public observation headquarters has already been deployed in Sevastopol; I note that these are not party observers, but independent ones. The main task of the headquarters is to monitor the cleanliness and transparency of the election campaign. 24-hour video surveillance will also be organized during all three voting days.— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the deputy chief of staff of public surveillance Sergei Yukhin.
Any citizen of the Russian Federation over 18 years of age can become an observer. To do this, you need to contact the Public Chamber of Sevastopol and undergo training.
The duration of training is one day, but the course is very intense. Applications will be accepted until approximately January 15-20, as there will be additional enrollment. In total, it is planned to train about 600 observersnotes Sergei Yukhin.
During the upcoming elections, 187 precinct election commissions will operate in Sevastopol.
