Students of the Small Academy of Sciences won two gold medals at the 26th International Exhibition of Ideas, Innovation and Creativity “Inost Mladikh-2024”, which took place in the city of Banja Luka and was organized by the Association of Innovators of the Republika Srpska, which is part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The works of young inventors from Sevastopol were selected based on the results of their participation in the International Salon of Inventors and Innovators «Archimedes» and the decision of the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators. True, provided that the guys independently translate their work into English and record presentation videos, which they will then send to the jury members in Banja Luka. And so it was done. The result of our guys’ participation was two gold medalsnotes «Sevastopol newspaper».

Thus, the work of tenth-grader Vladimir Senchuk was awarded a gold award for the project “Development of a model of a remote-controlled uninhabited underwater vehicle” (scientific supervisor Yuri Balashov). The project is the development of an underwater remote-controlled vehicle for bottom exploration. For this invention, a 3D model of the housing was developed, followed by milling, as well as electronics for the control unit.

Work on ballasting and testing the device in fresh and salt water is now being completed.— reported the Small Academy of Sciences.

Dmitry Aleshkin received a gold medal for the development of “Method for constructing complex neural networks for diagnosing AC electrical systems” (scientific supervisor Lev Kanov). We are talking about creating a mathematical model that makes it possible, using artificial intelligence, to make the operation of technical systems more reliable.

The model involves the creation of a neural network that processes input data from sensors, identifies weaknesses and predicts failures that can disable the system. The development can be used at electric power stations or in autonomous electric vehicles,” D. Aleshkin commented on the meaning of his invention.

As the director of MAN Sergei Pasein told Sevastopolskaya Gazeta, so far only an electronic message about the children’s well-deserved awards has been sent to Sevastopol, the originals of the medals will be sent by mail later.
