The largest sewer collector in the region was built and put into operation in Sevastopol

SoyuzDonStroy completed the construction of the central Martynovsky sewer collector in the city of Sevastopol. The project was implemented within the framework of the state program «Event». The cost of performing the work amounted to more than 540 million rubles.

This engineering facility began to be built at the end 90-s, instead of the old Soviet sewer network, but was never brought to working condition. The local sewerage system remained in a deplorable state until 2021 year. The length of the pipeline in the Martynovsky collector was 3848, 8 meters.

In order to meet the deadlines and ensure the earliest possible commissioning of the facility, work was carried out simultaneously at four sites with a maximum depth of up to meters. Two lines of pipeline with a diameter of 630 mm have been laid in the tunnel. Through them, wastewater will be directed to the collector of the Yuzhnye sewage treatment facilities. The facility is capable of transporting household and industrial wastewater with a total volume of up to 16 000 cubic meters.

The construction of a new unified multifunctional underground communication channel allows not only to solve the problem of wastewater disposal in several districts of Sevastopol, but also to provide engineering networks for the future cultural cluster at Cape Khrustalny. The project provides for the laying of low-voltage electrical networks, five emergency exits with transitional tunnels, as well as ventilation shafts. Thus, the new Martynovsky sewer collector will allow avoiding major earthworks in the area. And this means that the existing ecosystem and the ecology of the area will be preserved.

Completion of work on the Martynovsky collector will make life in the central part of Sevastopol more comfortable, and the investment attractiveness of both the center of Sevastopol and the new cultural cluster at Cape Khrustalny will increase significantly.

According to SoyuzDonStroy experts, the new Martynovsky sewer collector will last more than 12 years.
