The work of city services in bad weather was discussed in the government of Sevastopol. «Bad»!

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, at a government meeting, criticized the work of road workers and public utilities to eliminate the consequences of bad weather.

Suddenly snow fell in Sevastopol, everyone reported that we had everything ready, but the result, to put it mildly, was unsatisfactory“, the governor emphasized.

During the meeting, heads of relevant departments presented reports with the results of their work. During the period from January 12 to 15, Sevavtodor used about 40 units of equipment and 82 workers, consumed about 1,100 tons of sand-salt mixture and 100 tons of salt. However also. O. Deputy Governor Pavel Ieno clarified that out of 40 pieces of equipment, only 11 are combined road vehicles that are sprinkled with de-icing compound.

If we don’t have the resources, it means we had to tell people honestly that we currently don’t have the equipment in the required quantity. We need to purchase, plan the budget, talk to deputies. We need equipment not only during snow, but also for road maintenance. It is clear that here we can cope, plus or minus, but the frequency of maintenance may be higher. You also have contractors who build roads, which means their resources should also be mobilized in this situation for clearing. All this is difficult, but the work must be organized in key areas, and we did not have this— the head of the city instructed.

Due to deteriorating weather conditions, an operational headquarters was established at the Sevavtodor base, and interaction was established with the unified dispatch service, the traffic police, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

During the day, about 100 requests were received; a total of 370 have been received to date, all of which have been processed. There were also problem areas, he reported on them and personally went to the Yalta Ring. There were also problems on Sapungorskaya Street, Pobedy Avenue, Novikova Street in Balaklava, the entrance to Zakharov Square, the interchange in the village of Fruktovoy, and the Simferopol-Bakhchisaray-Sevastopol highway in the Inkerman area. However, they quickly made a decision, redirected the equipment, and within two hours the problems in these areas were eliminated, — said I. O. Deputy Governor

Pavel Ieno noted that four sites were organized for sprinkling roads with anti-icing mixture, thanks to which this work was ensured.

They tried to quickly send the equipment to all sorts of areas of the city, but the emphasis was on highways. Provided, first of all, the operation of public transport,” Pavel Jeno clarified.

Deputy Director of the Municipal Services Department Nikolai Bitosov noted that a total of 861 people were involved during the bad weather. These are employees of management companies, municipalities and the Parks and Gardens institution.

Mikhail Razvozhaev instructed to also use private resources to eliminate the consequences of bad weather in the future.

We need to talk to people, work out the logic of who is responsible for which area. Municipal territories and parks are the responsibility of city services, but there is also private business“, the governor concluded.
