There are plans in 2023 to hold the season of the United Premier League with the participation of clubs from Crimea and friendly republics

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Deputy Minister of Sports of Russia Odes Baisultanov told RT what time frame the first season of the United Premier League with the participation of football clubs could take place from Crimea and friendly republics.

Taking into account the positive experience of the Crimean Football Union and the region itself in holding matches of the National Student Football League, it is planned to create an organization based on this structure that will ensure the holding of a unified championship. By analogy with existing competitions, it is planned to create a championship with a tour system not only in the Crimea, but also in friendly republics. We are talking about a separate structure that will be created at the initiative of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation. It will not apply to the structures of the RFU, which, in fact, is a member of FIFA and UEFA.

In addition to the premier league top football teams, two more seniors in football academies will be brought in so that these kids, who potentially go to the premier league in the future, will also have the opportunity to compete. The Premier League is the main direction. The championship is scheduled for March — November 2023 of the year. The same terms apply to boys. But before the competition, there will definitely be a training camp. The participants of the tournament will include the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Crimea and teams from universities of the Russian Federation , – z Baysultanov declared.

Earlier, Baysultanov said that at a meeting in the DPR, it was proposed to create a Unified Premier League, where all friendly republics would be able to participate.
