The attackers turned out to be two local residents aged and 20 years, previously convicted for theft and theft of a car.

It was previously established that for the purpose of entertainment, young people decided to put various inscriptions on the parapet of a stone staircase near a residential building with a black marker, thereby desecrating it. From the scene of the crime, the suspects fled in an unknown direction, but were promptly identified and detained by employees of the center for combating extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol. In relation to the defendants, the Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Leninsky District initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Vandalism», that is, desecration of buildings or other structures, damage to property on public transport or in other public places . A measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place was chosen against the suspects, they face a punishment in the form of arrest for up to three months or a fine of up to 40 thousand rubles , — reported the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol.
