There will be time to think: a sentence in Sevastopol — a man will spend 8 years behind bars for the murder of a cohabitant

Agreeing with the position of the public prosecutor of the prosecutor’s office of the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol, the court delivered a guilty verdict against a 47-year-old local resident.

He was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 105 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). It was established that in August 59 between a man and his 59-year-old cohabitant in an apartment at their place of residence on the street. Guards in the city of Sevastopol, while drinking alcoholic beverages, there was a quarrel on a domestic basis. During the conflict, the attacker stabbed the woman several times with a kitchen knife, from which she died at the scene. After committing the crime, the man called an ambulance, the police and confessed to his deed. The investigation was conducted by the investigative department for the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol of the State Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. At the petition of the investigator, supported by the prosecutor’s office, the court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the accused. The Nakhimovsky District Court of the city of Sevastopol, taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor, sentenced the man to 8 years in prison in a strict regime correctional colony , the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office reported.

The verdict of the court has not entered into force.
