Avito Works experts studied average salary offers for April 2024 and identified the top 10 highest-paid blue-collar professions, where applicants are offered more than 100,000 rubles per month for full-time employment. According to the study, truck drivers had the highest average salary offer in April 2024.
Previously, a study by Avito Works showed that the profession of truck driver also became the highest paid working specialty in the first quarter of this year. In April 2024, this trend continued, and the truck driver profession again topped the ranking of the highest paid working specialists — average salary offers for new employees over the year increased by 38% and amounted to 185,912 rubles per month for a full-time schedule.
The second place in the list of the highest paid working specialties is occupied by the vacancy of a driller — employers are ready to offer new employees with full-time work an average of 127,281 rubles per month. This is 44% more than they were offered in April last year.
The top three highest paid working specialists are closed by the vacancy of a turner with average salary offers for new employees of 112,867 rubles per month, which is 23% more than they were offered in April 2023.
The fourth and fifth places in the ranking go to the professions of dump truck driver and auto electrician. In April of this year, employers were willing to offer new employees for the vacancy of a dump truck driver an average of 110,497 rubles per month (+40% per year), and applicants for the position of auto electrician — 108,807 (+33% per year).

In conditions of personnel shortage, certain blue-collar specialties retain unchanged positions in the ranking of the highest paid professions. For example, “scarce” workers in the transport and logistics sector, such as category C and CE drivers. Professions involved in the automotive business also turned out to be among the highest paid in the country — the April rating of specialists with average salary offers of over 100,000 rubles per month included for the first time the professions of auto electrician, car painter, and detailer. These figures can be explained by the growing demand of employers for personnel in these areas. Thus, over the year, the number of vacancies for employees of the automotive business in Russia increased by a third, and for transport and logistics specialists — by 67%, — comments the director of the “Taxi, transport and logistics” category of Avito Works Artem Egorenkov.
