In Sevastopol, under the leadership of the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, a meeting of the Military Council of the Fleet was held.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, during the event, the work of the commanders of formations and units in the operation of weapons, military and special equipment was analyzed, reports were heard on the state of work on the comprehensive provision of units, including when performing the tasks of a special military operation. The commander of the Black Sea Fleet presented state and departmental awards to a number of servicemen.
Along with the servicemen, the Commander of the Black Sea Fleet presented the award to retired Navy veteran Rear Admiral Yevgeny Kobtsev. For his active social work as part of a veteran organization, the education of several generations of sailors, a well-known veteran submariner in the fleet was awarded the Order of Honor— the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
