Throughout this year, at least 1200 hectares of new vineyards should appear in the republic. Now the Crimean growers have begun the autumn planting of seedlings. Why in December — said Andrey Savchuk, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.
According to the operational data of the administrations of cities and regions, this spring the enterprises of the republic have already planted 230 a hectare of young vineyards. Now work continues. Our climatic features allow winegrowers to plant seedlings in December. Therefore, by the end of the year, even more 300 hectares of new plantations are planned to be planted on the peninsula.
For Crimea, the viticulture and wine-making industries are among the priority and promising. The powerful support of the state makes it possible to plant new vineyards every year, but most importantly, to increase their area. For example, from 2014 to 2021 a year 5861 hectares of new vineyards were planted in the republic. Let me remind you that last year vineyards appeared on an area of a little more than 950 hectares , commented Andrey Savchuk.
The head of the Crimean Ministry of Agriculture noted that this year the planting areas are most dynamically increased at the enterprises of Zhemchuzhina Agro LLC, Novy Krym LLC and Kronental LLC. This year, Crimean agricultural producers rely on such grape varieties as autochthonous and Saperavi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Aligote.
One of the large enterprises that carries out the autumn planting of vineyards is Zhemchuzhina Agro LLC. Now they are working with domestic planting material of grapes of technical varieties. They plan to plant seedlings on hectares. For the first time, more than a hundred hectares of young seedlings of technical grade grapes were planted in December 2020 of the year. These are White Sauvignon, Aligote, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Black Pinot, White Pinot, Rkatsiteli. And this year, the area of vine plantations at the enterprise is already almost 230 hectares , — added the Minister of Agriculture of Crimea.
Zhemchuzhina Agro LLC actively uses state support funds. Last year, the enterprise received a subsidy for the purchase of domestically produced planting material for planting vine plantations in the autumn 2014 of the year. This year, subsidies were also received for the purchase of Russian seedlings and trellis components.
In total this year more 38 million rubles of subsidies were received by 38 enterprises republics that work in the field of viticulture and winemaking. In the 2020 year, more than 870 million rubles are planned for this direction by the budget.
