22-16 of July 2022 of the year events will be held in Crimea, within the framework of which residents and guests of the peninsula will get acquainted with the original culture of the Armenian people.
22 July at 18. An event dedicated to the 205 anniversary of the Armenian church of St. The concert program will be attended by Armenian national creative groups:
- “Zvartnots” dance ensemble (head – Anahit Chukhajyan) and “Zvartnots” vocal ensemble (head – Anush Grigoryan) at the Surb Harutyun Spiritual and Educational Center, Rostov-on-Don;
- the Ararat dance group (headed by Aram Grigoryan) and the dance group “ Unity «(head — Natalia Yevtushok), Simferopol, as well as solo performers.
07 July at 18: An event dedicated to Hovhannes and Gabriel Aivazovsky will be held at the Station Square in Feodosia as part of the Armenian Art Festival. The concert program will be attended by Armenian national creative groups from the Rostov region: the dance ensemble «Zvartnots» (head — Anahit Chukhadzhyan) and the vocal ensemble «Zvartnots» (head — Anush Grigoryan) at the Spiritual and Educational Center of Surb Harutyun, Rostov-on- Don.
24 July 12: in the Old Crimea, on the territory of the Surb Khach monastery, an event dedicated to the Armenian religious holiday “Vardavar”, which is held in honor of the day of the Transfiguration of the Lord, will take place.
The purpose of its holding is to strengthen national harmony and preserve the ethnic identity, culture, folk and religious traditions of the Armenians living on our peninsula.
The participants will have a concert with the participation of Armenian national choreographic, musical, vocal groups and soloists from Crimea: the Ararat dance group (head — Aram Grigoryan) and the Unity dance group (head — Natalya Yevtushok), Simferopol, as well as solo performers .
The celebration of Vardavar will be accompanied by the performance of folk rituals. One of the most favorite among Armenians is pouring water on each other. It is believed that water on this day has sacred power and being watered is only good.
