CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, Andrei Savchuk, announced that from 2017 to 2023, 669 young specialists who received an agricultural education and work in the agro-industrial complex were paid 156 million rubles in a lump sum payment. This year, 96 people received such assistance, the amount of support amounted to more than 22 million rubles.

We have been supporting our young staff for 7 years now. This is truly the future of Crimean agriculture, our young agronomists, gardeners, engineers, tractor drivers, economists, technologists, veterinarians, and representatives of other very important professions depend on the knowledge, skills and work on which the food security of our region directly depends, both in 10 and 20, and in 30, and even in 40 years. These are young people who, in addition to fundamental academic knowledge, successfully apply the entire range of modern technologies in their work. The high-tech agricultural industry now cannot do without them. Young specialists work both at large leading enterprises and at small agricultural production units of the Crimean agricultural industry. This year, for example, one of the most popular areas is the food and processing industry. 37 people began working at wineries, beer and soft drinks, poultry processing, essential oil plants and many other enterprises. Our small forms of farming are no less in demand. 13 children grow vegetables, fruits and other products for Crimean residents on peasant farms, work for individual entrepreneurs, and three of them headed these peasant farms themselves. Science does not lag behind these trends. A lot of graduates choose Crimean scientific organizations as their place of work, which, among other things, produce and process agricultural products. These specialists are developing new varieties of crops with increased productivity and disease resistance. Breakthrough ideas, knowledge and modern technologies that young scientists are developing are already being used in practice by our agricultural producers. This year, more than 20 specialists chose this particular direction. Another 25 were employed in other organizations of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Crimea,” the press service quotes the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Crimea.

Andrey Savchuk also recalled that only those young specialists who graduated from a university or secondary vocational educational institution in the agricultural field can receive a one-time payment. After receiving the money, they are required to work in the agricultural sector of the Republic of Crimea for at least three years. The payment amount for university graduates is 250 thousand rubles, and for graduates of secondary special education — 200 thousand rubles.
