The majority of flights for the May holidays are planned within Russia — about 83.3%, the travel service reports. Tutu. Experts analyzed data on ticket purchases for the period April 27 — May 12, 2024.

About 11.6% of tickets are issued to neighboring countries. Independent air travelers account for 4% and 1.1% of issued tickets to non-CIS countries and Europe, respectively.

The majority of air tickets for the upcoming May holidays are issued to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kaliningrad and Mineralnye Vody. The share of passengers to the capital is 14.3%, to St. Petersburg – 10%, to Sochi – 9.1%, to Kaliningrad – 5.7%, to Mineralnye Vody – 4.7%. Travelers will also fly to Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Makhachkala, Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk.

At the same time, the Moscow-Kaliningrad route was in first place in the list of specific destinations. Last year it was also in first place, and the Moscow-Sochi direction retained second position. In addition, travelers from Moscow are in demand for flights to Mineralnye Vody, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Makhachkala during the May holidays. And for travelers from St. Petersburg — to Moscow, Sochi, Kazan, Kaliningrad and Mineralnye Vody.

Tutu analysts added that travelers have begun to use the booking service more often — it allows you to fix the price of an air ticket. They also buy tickets with the possibility of a 100% refund if the trip suddenly has to be rescheduled.

In the first place for specific destinations is the route Moscow — St. Petersburg — about 13% of tickets. In second place in popularity is the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod direction, and the Moscow-Simferopol direction closes the top three.
