Residents and guests of Sevastopol are invited to the Citizens' Theater Festival. It will be interesting!

CrimeaPRESS reports:

From 5 to 30 August, the Citizens’ Theater Festival will be held in Sevastopol. It is organized by the Center for Theater Initiatives. The Citizens’ Theater Festival is one of the events of the Theater Street Creative Workshop project. The projects are implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

As project director Natalia Slepchenko said, the Citizens’ Theater is a theater in which ordinary citizens, under the guidance of professional directors or theater teachers, take part in staging and showing performances. Each is based on the personal stories of the participants about their lives and their own experiences.

The opening ceremony of the festival will take place on August 5 at 19:00. Further, within two weeks — from August 7 to 20 — it is planned to hold theater laboratories, and from August 15 to 29 — performances by independent theaters in Sevastopol and Crimea. On August 30 at 19:00 all participants and guests of the festival will have a solemn closing ceremony.

Citizens Theater Festival is a project that brings together creative people and independent theaters of Sevastopol and Crimea to develop potential and gain new experience, implement creative ideas and create a bright unifying art space— notes the director of the festival Natalia Slepchenko.
