On the eve of the Day of Remembrance of Russians who performed their official duties outside the Fatherland (February 15), the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov held a meeting with internationalist soldiers. He expressed gratitude to Afghan veterans for the courage and courage shown in the performance of military duty.

The Head of the Republic emphasized the readiness of the authorities to continue to provide all necessary support to veterans.
The first deputy chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Efim Fiks, and the honorary chairman of the public organization “United Crimean Union of Veterans of Afghanistan and Other Local Wars – Internationalist Soldiers”, Sergei Tarasov, also addressed internationalist soldiers.
The internationalist soldiers were solemnly presented with state awards of the Republic of Crimea: the Order “For Fidelity to Duty”, the medal “For the Defense of the Republic of Crimea”, Certificates of Honor of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, Gratitude of the Head of the Republic of Crimea, and the distinctive sign “Watch from the Head of the Republic of Crimea”.
