The winners of the semi-finals of the new season of the Masters of Hospitality competition, a project of the presidential platform Russia — a Land of Opportunities, have been announced. For the right to reach the final 115 hospitality industry managers from different regions fought in Saransk for three days. Oleg Tediashvili from Sevastopol was among industry professionals who made it to the final stage of the competition.
«Masters of Hospitality» is a project that is unique in its essence, bringing together a community of caring, talented, enthusiastic people from 85 regions of Russia and 29 foreign states that are changing the world, starting from their small homeland.
As part of the competitive tests, the participants completed a set of tasks of business and managerial competencies, solved seven industry cases in the areas of activity: hotel business, catering, tour operator, travel agency activities, public administration and activities of public institutions, event industry and hospitality industry business sector, and also offered solutions for local businesses. Their implementation will increase the tourist flow in the region and make it even more attractive for guests , — said the press service of the government of Sevastopol.
The main goal of the semi-final was to find professionals for the positions of middle and top management in the public administration system and the commercial sector.
The representative of Sevastopol in the grand final of the contest, Oleg Tediashvili, is the technical director of Wildfrost Limited Liability Company. Since 2009 years he has been working in a field adjacent to the hospitality industry, which has always attracted him. To fulfill the dream, I had to go down several steps of the career ladder and start climbing it again in order to understand from the inside different areas of the hotel industry, event organization, facility management.
It is necessary to develop the hospitality industry for the harmonious and comprehensive development of the national economy, the improvement of regional development, and the enhancement of patriotism. “Masters of hospitality” for me, first of all, is communication with the best representatives of the industry, new acquaintances and connections, and secondly, the opportunity to strain my intellect and compete with it , — said Oleg Tediashvili.
The finalists of the competition will have the opportunity to join the Expert Council of the largest federal tourism development programs, receive cash grants for personal development up to 500 thousand rubles, job offers, a chance to participate in a mentoring program, as well as the opportunity to become part of the human resources potential of the country’s hospitality industry.
