The retaining wall at Heroes of Sevastopol will not be repaired this year — they are just developing a project

The Directorate for the Development of Road Transport Infrastructure has entered into a contract with the Chelyabinsk company TK Project LLC to carry out design and survey work for major repairs and installation of protective structures against collapses on the rock-slide section of the road on Geroev Sevastopol Street. The length of the collapse-prone area is 110 meters.

The cost of design work is estimated at 4.5 million rubles.

The slope with a retaining wall on Heroev Street of Sevastopol in 2024 seriously collapsed on January 5, 19, 20 and 23. The fallen soil somewhat covered the road and damaged the trolleybus contact network. To eliminate the consequences of the incidents, it was necessary to block traffic on almost the only street connecting the Korabelnaya side with the center of Sevastopol.
