Winegrowers of Sevastopol will receive subsidies for the purchase of domestic planting material

CrimeaPRESS reports:

At a meeting of the government of Sevastopol, chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, changes were made to the procedure for granting subsidies in the field of viticulture and winemaking. Entrepreneurs will now be able to receive reimbursement funds if they purchase domestic rather than imported planting material.

Historically, the period has come when it is necessary to use domestic planting material. It is clear that no one is prohibited from purchasing imported material, but this is not provided for by a subsidy from the Ministry of Agriculture. The entrepreneur will be able to receive funds for domestic seedlings , Mikhail Razvozhaev noted.

According to Natalia Skoryukova, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market, local viticulture entrepreneurs have already signed contracts for the purchase of domestic products.

At the end of June, we started explanatory work, and since September we received confirmation from all subjects that they have already been contracted in the Krasnodar Territory. And such an enterprise as «Kachinsky +» has its own nursery for its own needs. Therefore, we understand that we are provided with our seedlings for the next plantings, — the head of the department emphasized.

Recall that this year’s grape harvest is a record one — to date, more than 26 thousand tons have already been harvested, the yield was 59 centners per hectare. The area of vineyards in Sevastopol is 4.3 thousand hectares.
