7% of working women in Crimea faced a negative reaction from the employer to their pregnancy

Every second resident of Crimea tells her boss about the upcoming maternity leave in the first trimester of pregnancy. Employers of 4 out of 10 women reacted positively to this news, 7% had a chance to face the negative. Women with children took part in the survey of SuperJob, a high-paying job search service.
Every second pregnant woman (53%) in Crimea informs her employer about the upcoming replenishment in the family in the first trimester. In the second trimester, 22% share the good news, and only 3% keep the secret until the 7th month. Employers more often respond positively to the news about imminent motherhood: 41% of respondents said that the manager was sincerely happy for them. Another 18% reported that the employer reacted neutrally. 7% experienced a negative reaction, — noted in the press service of the service.
Colleagues at work perceive the news about the imminent replenishment in the family even more positively: according to 6 out of 10 women (59%), colleagues, having learned about the pregnancy, supported and encouraged them. One in five (20%) reported that colleagues reacted neutrally, and only 6% felt negative.
