The level of countering terrorism in Crimea is sufficient, the peninsula is under reliable protection, there are enough forces and means to ensure security. Head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov spoke about this on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel, commenting Ukrainian terrorists.
Law enforcement officers work systematically, almost 24/7, the main employees are on the ground, so the maximum possible measures are taken to ensure security— said Aksyonov.
Moreover, on the peninsula there is a sufficient grouping of military personnel and a large number of volunteers who are ready to defend Crimea if necessary.
The grouping is sufficient on the territory of Crimea, we are working together here with units of the National Guard and other law enforcement agencies, we have volunteer units. There are a lot of people today who want to take part, if necessary. At the same time, I am sure that our soldiers will stop the enemy, and not only that they will stop — they will completely stop attempts to attack on the territory of Zaporozhye, Kherson regions, Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics— Aksyonov emphasized, moving on to the topic of a possible Ukrainian «counteroffensive».
The head of Crimea also noted that he was not going to increase the number of his personal guards. The secret services are working. There will be no attacks.
