«Boxer» or thief? Police of Simferopol understands

Operatives of Simferopol detained a suspect in causing grievous bodily harm and stealing money.
The day before, the police received a telephone message from a doctor from one of the local hospitals that a 31-year-old Simferopol resident had been admitted to their department with a head injury. It was established that the victim was injured as a result of a verbal conflict that escalated into a fight. A man unknown to him struck a blow to the face, after which the victim fell and was unconscious for some time.
Also, a 40-year-old local resident applied to the Simferopol police department. The man told law enforcement officers that, together with a friend, he was near one of the grocery stores, where they were approached by three unknown persons, with one of whom they started a fight. As a result of the brawl, the applicant threw away his personal bag of money, and at the end of what was happening, he discovered the absence of funds— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
Employees of the criminal investigation department of the police department No. 2 «Kiev» of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol, as a result of operational-search activities, went on the trail of the suspect. It turned out to be a 30-year-old local resident. The attacker was arrested and taken to the police department for investigation. The man did not deny his guilt and wrote a confession.
Criminal cases were initiated on the grounds of the corpus delicti, Part 1, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm) and Part 2, Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft committed with causing significant damage to a citizen). The attacker was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave, and he also faces a maximum sentence of up to 8 years in prison.
