Fatal accidents in Sevastopol: two dead and four injured

January 1, at 01: 55 29-year-old driver, driving a VAZ car 2107, hit a 31-year-old woman who was crossing the carriageway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian was injured and was taken to the city hospital, where she died a few hours later. The driver was examined at the scene, he was found to be intoxicated, and removed from driving.
January 2, at 09: 18 the driver of a Hyundai car on the right rounding of the road lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a trolleybus moving in the opposite direction.
As a result of an accident, 29-year-old woman driving a car was taken to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries . A passenger of a foreign car was also taken to a medical facility in serious condition. When clarifying the circumstances of the accident, it was established that the woman did not have the right to drive a vehicle, and the owner of the car is the passenger injured in the accident , — the details were told in the traffic police.
Another vehicle collision was recorded in which the 18-year-old driver of a Chevrolet vehicle, leaving the adjacent area on the road, did not provide an advantage in movement to the motorcyclist. As a result of a traffic accident, the driver of the two-wheeled vehicle and his passenger were injured and were hospitalized. Neither driver was intoxicated. Two administrative materials were filed against the car owner: for not providing an advantage when leaving the adjacent territory and for not having an OSAGO policy.
On New Year’s Eve 24, a year-old driver of a Lexus car on the left rounding of the road left the carriageway to the right and hit an obstacle — a tree.
At the scene of the incident, the young man refused to undergo a medical examination, for which administrative material was drawn up against him under part 1 of article 12.18 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which provides for a fine in in the amount of 29 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to drive for a period of one and a half to two years. In addition, the driver was driving a vehicle without an OSAGO policy, for which he received a determination to initiate an administrative offense case , the traffic police said.
The State traffic inspectorate of Sevastopol warns that traffic accidents caused by drunk drivers remain the most socially dangerous phenomenon, characterized by the greatest severity of consequences.
The traffic police appeals to all road users with a request not to remain indifferent to the problem of drunk driving, to promptly report to the police about drivers who behave inappropriately on the road, drive a car while intoxicated. Employees of the State traffic inspectorate are ready to take all necessary prompt measures to respond to such messages.
